Dem Mayor Adams, a former NYPD inspector, believes he wants Republican Lee Zeldin to be governor.

Former NYPD Inspector Paul Mauro ‘dropped bombshell political script’ on ThursdayNews section of AmericaHe believes New York City Mayor Eric Adams (D) wants Republican Lee Zeldin to be the state’s next governor.

Mauro said Adams, a former NYPD officer, doesn’t believe in Democratic Gov. Cathy Hochul’s crime-fighting plan.

“I think on November 8th when he goes on the stand because I don’t think he’s going to be able to go against his base. Adams pulls that lever on Zeldin.

NY GOVERNOR’S RACE: ZELDIN SWIMS BETWEEN INDEPENDENTS, lands on Hochul’s street.

Zeldin sparred with Hochul on Tuesday’s Prime Time Debate increase in crime and continued violence that plagues the country’s citizens.

“We need to make our streets safe again. I’m running to take back our streets and unapologetically support the men and women in law enforcement,” Zeldin said when asked about his anti-crime policies.

“Unfortunately, Kathy Hochul believes that only gun crimes are committed. And you have people who are afraid to push themselves in front of oncoming subway cars. They’re going to be stabbed and beaten to death in the street. Hammers,” she said.

Mauro reversed Hochul’s position that gun violence is a driver of high crime.

“America does not have a long gun problem. America has an illegal gun problem, especially in our urban areas.”

Mauro said Hochul told Adams and voters during the debate that he would not change the “defunding” and bail reform policies from Albany.

Mauro Zeldin believes he will make changes and try to solve the crime crisis, saying he will “burn Manhattan down on day one.”

“He can do it. He also said he would declare a crime emergency, which would allow him to introduce policies around the legislature. He achieves the same. [COVID] Emergency powers will allow us to undo many of the things that are destroying our city,” he said, including keeping Rikers Island prison open.
